This is a volunteer and community service opportunity for Scouts and their families (ages 12 and up are welcome!) to participate as an emergency drill “victim” to help our next class of TCERT Academy participants (Teen CERT Class #3!) practice critical community emergency preparedness skills like Search and Rescue and Medical Triage in the final training module of their academy program.
♦ Please wear comfortable, grubby clothes that might get dirty and/or stained (we make these drills realistic!)
♦ We encourage you to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated! Being a victim takes more energy than you think!
♦ The drill will start between 2:15 – 2:45pm, depending on how the class is progressing, so be prepared for some quiet/downtime before we start (Bring a Phone, Book, Homework, etc. if you need something to pass the time!).
♦ We should be finished up around 5:00pm
♦ We have set up a SignUpGenius signup form to collect participant names and emails to help us get a participant count for this session.
♦ We would appreciate your support in forwarding and/or encouraging your groups to participate, as this is a great experience for all!
